I need HONEST Feedback On my Music 6 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Look, I am 41... Left music when I was 24 and just rediscovered in the last 5 years. I am way behind in technology... Here are a few of my recent Songs I have written and attempted to record... I know that technically they are WAY behind but I am looking for CANDID feedback as to whether or not my material and or talent is even worth continuing to work with. I have asked for feedback from a couple of local people with no response. I presume that may be my answer but I figure from here someone can Tell me exactly how it is!!! Please!

Note: I don't know how to directly upload on here so here is my myspace...

Hi Patrick

Ive taken a listen to your tracks.
In my opinion the recordings are of a good enough quality to get the message across and musically they are very solid and catchy which is cool (was humming Itll be OK for a few hours afterwards)
Initially the vocal effect/ double tracking you used was a little weird but after a couple of listens it grew on me.
I think maybe a few additional chord changes (bridges prechorus etc) could be used as it does tend to be a little bit repetative.
The sequenced drums are cool and if thats your only option then my advise would be to get a better sample library or alter the velocities as it gets a little bit obvious they are electronic after a while as real drummers tend to not be that even (and the cymbal samples give it away). I usually find a compramise of digital drums and real cymbals works quite well if not a real drum kit period.

I hope that has given you something and Ill be happy to listen to anything else you want to sling my way.

All the best!
